Andorra sits high in the Pyrenees between France and Spain and has no airport of its own, so every visitor arrives by road from a gateway city. The best airports for Andorra are Barcelona, Toulouse and Girona, with Lleida and Reus useful for certain flights. This guide compares each one and helps you pick the right arrival point for your resort.
Book your transfer
Because the principality is tucked into the mountains, there are no commercial flights that land inside Andorra. Instead you fly into a neighbouring airport in Spain or France and complete the last leg by transfer, taxi or hire car. It is a simple journey once you know which gateway suits you, and a pre-booked transfer takes the guesswork out of the winding mountain roads.
Choosing your airport comes down to three things: where the direct flights from your home city land, how long you are happy to spend on the road, and whether you prefer a shared coach or a private door-to-door car. The five airports below cover almost every route into Andorra.
Barcelona, Toulouse and Girona are the three gateways we serve most often. Tap through for full details, timetables and fares for each.
The busiest and best-connected gateway, with the widest choice of UK flights into Terminals 1 and 2. Around four hours to Andorra, with both shared and private transfers available.
Learn moreA compact single-terminal airport on the French side and the shortest run to Pas de la Casa. Roughly three hours overall, with shared and private options.
Learn moreA smaller Catalan airport with seasonal UK flights, around four hours from the resorts. Served by private transfers only, ideal for groups landing outside the main coach times.
Learn moreLleida-Alguaire (LLD) is the closest airport to Andorra at roughly two hours by road, though it handles only a limited, seasonal schedule of flights. When it is operating it makes for a wonderfully short final leg, and we cover it by private transfer.
Reus (REU), near Tarragona on the Costa Daurada, is about four hours away and occasionally useful when fares or timings into Barcelona do not line up. Like Lleida, it is a private-transfer-only gateway rather than a scheduled coach route.
Every airport can be reached by private car; the two largest also run scheduled shared coaches.
Fixed departure times and a set per-person fare, running from Barcelona and Toulouse only. The friendly, value choice for couples and solo travellers.
A vehicle just for your party, from any of the five airports, leaving when your flight lands and taking you directly to your accommodation door.
Reserve at least three days before travel and we email your voucher. Have your flight number handy to add to your booking.
Whichever airport you choose, we drop you right at your resort. Pick your destination for local details.
No. Andorra has no commercial airport, so you fly into Spain or France and travel the final stretch by road. Barcelona, Toulouse and Girona are the most popular gateways.
Lleida-Alguaire is the nearest at about two hours, but it has very limited flights. Among the well-served airports, Toulouse offers the shortest run, especially to Pas de la Casa.
Barcelona El Prat, comfortably. It carries the widest choice of routes and airlines from British cities, which is why it is our busiest gateway for Andorra.
